The trip will take @ least 2 1/2 days..We go in a RV so use campgrounds, so can't help on places to stay..There is great scenery between the 2 cities, so take your time and enjoy it..I just completed a LONG road trip, from California all over the U.S. and into Nova Scotia. We were gone 17 weeks..had a great time..Advice, take your time, if you see something interesting along the way, stop and check it out..stop and walk around every 2 hours, and change drivers, whether you feel like it or not, carry water in the car, if there is a possibility of snow, carry chains, blankets, food and water enough for @ least 3 days..enjoy and have a safe trip..

I was thinking the opposite recently. Driving from San Fran to Seattle! Wanna trade places? Lol, jk. My plan wasn't that great...(we just drove from KY-NY 2 times , and from KY-CA when we moved, in the past 4 months!!) So I don't want to drive too much more lol. But we were going to drive drive drive to Portland Oregon and stay the night then continue to Seattle the next day...Well...to Forks actually :) You know, one of those obsessive twilight fans...In their 20's...ha

I don't know Oregon and Washington so well, but I have lived in CA all my life, so here is a list of my favorite things to see and do when driving up the California Coast:
