Im going to be in San Francisco from June to August, and was just wondering...what do most people there wear on a day to day basis? .......Colors or black? Flip flops or closed toe shoes? Is it ever warm enough to wear shorts?

Thanks!!

Depending on where you go in the city the temperature can vary drastically. People tend to layer it up near the beach area and GGP due to the fog. It tends to be warmer in the downtown area. But overall, the population here is so eclectic that no matter what you wear...you're bound to fit in=)

And yes there are days where it's warm enough to wear shorts and skirts. SF has just been voted the best outdoor city!

All of the above. The weather changes from day to day so be prepared for daily highs of say 62 - 103F with tolerable humidity and a little bit of wind alond the coast where a light jacket is always advisable.

It is cool in San Francisco even in the Summer, and the women dress nicely. You don't (didn't-been a while) see slovenly women in jogging pants and hair curlers. That is one of the things that impressed me about the city- the women all looked so nice- nicely dressed, hair done, etc. nothing like lots of places. As I recall, colors are fine for daytime. If you dress like a tourist, they will forgive you, just try to panhandle you more.
